Peresmian dan pemberkatan Gua Naria ini berlangsung dalam perayaan Ekaristi Kudus yang dipimpin langsung Uskup Rolly yang dihadiri seluruh umat Katolik Paroki Santo Mikael, sekaligus dalam rangkaian Pesta Pelindung (HUT, red) Paroki Santo Mikael,, pada Kamis (29/09/2022).
Ketua Panitia Rudy Pusung menuturkan, Gua tMaria tersebut dibangun sejak 4 bulan lalu.
“Gua Maria tersebut menjadi salah satu sarana peribadatan bagi umat Katolik untuk berdevosi kepada Bunda Maria,” ujarnya.
Karena itu, Pusung berharap dengan telah diresmikan dan diberkatinya Gua Maria ini akan mendorong umat Katolik untuk melakukan devosi, khususnya unat Katolik Paroki Santo Mikael.
“Selain berdevosi, keberadaan Gua Maria ini mengajak umat Katolik, khususnya di Paroki Santo Mikael untuk selalu meneladani keteladanan Bunda Maria,” katanya.
Disebutkan Pusung,; selain acara peresmian dan pemberkatan Gua Maria, di momen Pesta Pelindung Paroki ini juga digelar peresmian dan pemberkatan aula paroki dan patung Santo Mikael oleh Uskup Rolly didampingi Pastor Paroki
Wens Maweikere, Pr., Dewan Pastoral Paroki (DPP) dan umat Katolik se-Paroki Santo Mikael.
